BLT Registration July-August 2026 Links: Are They Legit?

According to Tempo, a number of Facebook accounts are spreading false information regarding registration for Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for the July–August 2026 period. The misleading posts frequently feature an animated poster of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka dressed in blue, alongside links directing users to unofficial websites promising Rp900,000 in government aid.

Fake Facebook Accounts and Unofficial Websites Exposed

Tempo collected 22 Facebook accounts spreading the social assistance claims, including specific entities identified as account 1, account 2, and account 3. Analysis of these accounts and their linked web addresses revealed they are entirely fake. Official government websites in Indonesia always utilize the .go.id domain, such as the Ministry of Social Affairs’ official site at kemensos.go.id. None of the 14 websites promoted by these accounts—which included daftarbansoskemensos.com, bantubansospkh.com, registernewri.com, digitals-ri.com, bansos.online, cek-status-terbaru.com, and register-new.com—possess a .go.id domain. Furthermore, credibility testing tools such as URLScan.io categorized several of these domains as malicious.

Creation Timelines and Deceptive Tactics

Investigation into the digital footprints of the 22 Facebook profiles showed that all were newly created close to the dissemination period. Specifically, 1 account was created in May 2026, 2 accounts were created in June 2026, and 19 accounts were established on July 18, 2026. To mislead users, the profiles utilized personal accounts rather than government organizations, most maintaining fewer than 50 followers while employing terms like “bansos,” “bantuan,” “kemensos,” “digitisasi,” and “2026.” Among the linked web infrastructure, 10 sites were created in 2026 and 3 in 2025, predating the newly minted Facebook pages sharing them. For instance, digitals-ri.com was registered on December 20, 2025, and subsequently shared by four fake accounts launched in July 2026.

Official Channels and Registration Procedures

The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs stated that citizens seeking to register for social assistance must visit their local village or sub-district office in person, carrying both their Family Card (KK) and ID card. Alternatively, registration can be completed through the Cek Bansos application available on the Google Play Store. Final approval or rejection of any application is determined through deliberations at the village and sub-district levels. The Ministry maintains only one official Facebook account, characterized by a blue checkmark and 381,000 followers, making it distinct from the unverified personal profiles currently circulating online.
