Headline: "Bulgaria‘s Political chess: Professor Kirilova’s Gambit"

Bulgaria, once again, finds itself at the crossroads of political intrigue, with Professor EK Kirilova’s latest analysis of the country’s state drawing comparisons to a scholarly dissertation. Kirilova argues that "everyone is in opposition, and no one holds power." The constitutional maiming by Christo Ivanov’s tenure has left us with a servant government, answerable to none – not the parliament that can’t dismiss it, nor the president who can’t sack it. Mitko Globachev, it seems, answers only to the heavens, and perhaps that’s why he ascended Bulgaria’s highest peak, Black Peak, for the holidays.

However, Professor Kirilova’s prescription for a cure is muddled. She advocates for GERB‘s Boyko Borisov to backtrack and allow the coalition to form a government in the National Assembly. But isn’t it ironic that Borisov, the elections’ victor and rightful claimant to the parliamentary chair, yielded to Kirilova, the representative of the fifth political force with half a million fewer votes?

Kirilova’s prescription would indeed make her the serve Prime Minister, a scenario reminiscent of the turbulent governments in Germany and France. So, does Borivos acquiesce, yielding another step back, then two more, until he appoints an unqualified Yonko Grozdev as constitutional judge? Radio Soros (BNR) has already hinted at this script, urging Grozdev, a human rights specialist, to protect Hunter Biden after Trump’s inauguration.

The professor’s suggestion eerily resembles a quadrille dance, with GERB’s victors grudgingly retreating while the vanquished stride forward. Why bother voting at all?

However, the professor missing a crucial beat. Upcoming elections might not be necessary, given the colossal changes brewing abroad. This April, the sun might rise on new Americas and Europes. Trump’s endorsement of hockey star Wayne Gretzky over muddled Justin Trudeau hints at a not-quite-concluded US election. Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s Адertasian prevailed. Germany’s polls heavily favor Alternative for Germany, boosted by Musk’s endorsement, with Alice Weidel leading at 24% against 20% for Friedrich Merz (CDU) and 15% for Olaf Scholz (SDP).

As Bulgaria’s neighbors ready for change, Bulgarians must consider their position. Trump or Biden? Musk or Soros? Orban’s defiant Europe or Biden’s globalism? Unity or schism within the Orthodox Church? These are not mere political choices; they’re philosophical ones.

This dance of political steps and missteps is not just curious; it’s crucial. Bulgaria stands at a crossroads, its next step echoing far beyond its borders.
