Traffic Disruption Due to Major Crash on Smolyan – Pamporovo Road

A serious car crash involving two vehicles occurred on Wednesday afternoon on the Smolyan – Pamporovo road, near the ‘St. Pantaleimon’ church. The incident resulted in temporary traffic disruption on the affected road section, the Regional Fire Safety and Population Protection Service in Smolyan reported.

Two fire trucks were dispatched to the scene after reports of trapped passengers in the vehicles. Fortunately, the passengers managed to exit the vehicles without assistance before the cars could be dismantled. Miraculously, no serious injuries were reported.

Earlier in the day, another road incident occurred on the Shiroka Laka – Stoykite route. A passing car with a Plovdiv registration number had its windshield shattered by falling rocks from the hillside, but fortunately, no passengers were injured.
