Located at 30th Street and 10th Avenue in New York City, the Plinth serves as a landmark destination for rotating public art installations, with the next selections slated for installation in 2029 and 2030.
The High Line Plinth Selection Process
The current call for public input follows a rigorous nomination process. According to Friends of the High Line, an international advisory committee—comprised of artists, curators, and various arts professionals—convened to nominate the 61 artists and collectives currently under consideration. These artists represent 37 countries and every region of the United States.
The public is encouraged to review these proposals directly on the High Line website. Comments left on the individual project pages or shared via social media are routed to the High Line Art curatorial team. This feedback is intended to inform the selection of 12 shortlisted artists, which will be finalized in the fall of 2026. These finalists will then be invited to present physical maquettes during a public exhibition scheduled for early 2027.
