Karen Ong, general manager of Cheers, noted that the convenience store chain wishes to make it as easy as possible for youth to grab a quick, healthy boost right in their own neighborhoods so they can thrive in and out of the classroom.
Student recipients have already highlighted the practical benefits of the program. Pakkirisamy Inbasri, a Secondary 1 student, stated that having a healthy breakfast and a protein drink before class helps her stay energized and focused during lessons. She expressed gratitude for the support to help keep up with her routine.
Another Secondary 1 student, Chua Jing Yi, described the beverage as a nice way to recharge her energy on the way home after intense co-curricular activity (CCA) training sessions. Having a Cheers outlet near her home to grab a free protein drink right after CCA is super convenient, according to Chua.
