Diputada Nacional-presents Penal Complaint Against Milei’s Biographer for Discriminatory Remarks Against Esteban Bullrich
Lourdes Arrieta, a prominent national deputy, has condemned the remarks of Nicolás Márquez, biographer of President Javier Milei, as “discriminatory” and filed a penal complaint against him. Márquez had attacked former Minister of Education Mauricio Macri, Esteban Bullrich, in an aggressive post on X, where Bullrich, who suffers from ELA, had remembered the anniversary of his tenure as Buenos Aires senator.
“Known not for your capacity as a functionary but for your illness,” Márquez commented, adding a conditional “hope you can overcome it” after the mention of Bullrich’s disease. Shortly after, Arrieta announced on the same platform that she had filed a complaint against Márquez for his “discriminatory” remarks, which “violate the dignity and rights of all, setting a poor example for promoting the ideas of freedom.”
“To say that a person is ‘only known for their illness’ is not only a lack of sensitivity and empathy, but discrimination,” Arrieta declared. “We cannot tolerate this kind of discourse furthering stigmas and exclusion in our society.”
