Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta Announces Ramadan 1446 H to Begin on January 1, 2025

The Egyptian Dar al-Ifta has sighted the crescent moon of Rajab 1446 AH, marking the beginning of the Islamic month. The sighting was confirmed after sunset, and the religious body has declared that the sighting is legally valid, thereby confirming the start of the month of Rajab.

In a statement, Dar al-Ifta announced that Wednesday, January 1, 2025, will be the first day of Rajab 1446 AH. The Islamic institution extended its congratulations to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Egyptian people, and Muslims worldwide, praying for blessings, prosperity, and peace upon Egypt and the Muslim world.
