Ukraine‘s Air Defense Intercepts 9 of 10 Russian Drones Launch from Crimea
In a successful defensive operation overnight, Ukraine’s air defense system intercepted nine out of ten Russian drones that were launched from Crimea. According to a statement from the Ukrainian Air Force, all the drones were launched from the Crimean Peninsula and were shot down in theNikolaiv region.
Meanwhile, occupant forces targeted the Kursk and Sumy regions in Ukraine with S-300 and S-400 missiles, but these were not intercepted. Details on any resulting damage are still forthcoming.
This incident comes as part of an ongoing series of drone and missile attacks launched by Russian forces, targeting various infrastructure and civilian areas across Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses have been increasingly effective in countering these attacks, as seen in the high success rate of intercepting drones in this recent incident.
