Ukraine’s public trust in President Volodymyr Zelensky has seen a reduction over the past year, but the balance of trust over distrust remains positive, according to a recent survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
As of December 2024, 52% of Ukrainians trust President Zelensky, while 39% do not. The results are based on a poll conducted between December 2 and 17, involving 2000 respondents aged 18 and above.
Trust Trends
The KIIS survey indicates that trust in Zelensky peaked at 77% in late 2023, but it has been on a downward trajectory since. Trust reached 64% in February 2024, 59% in May, and stabilized at 57% in October. However, between October and December, trust further dipped to 52%, primarily due to an increase in respondents who were unsure about their stance on the President.
