Busting the Hoax: Kaesang Pangarep’s Ex, Felicia Tissue, Denies Abortion Claims

Article:

Felicia Tissue, ex-girlfriend of Kaesang Pangarep, son of Indonesian President Joko Widodo, has spoken out against recent online claims that accuse Kaesang of forcing her to terminate a pregnancy. Felicia categorically denied these allegations, calling them "hoax" or "fake news," and warned of consequences for those spreading such fabricated stories.

The rumors began circulating on Twitter, with an account named @deesajaa allegations that President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriania had pressured Kaesang to abort his child. Felicia responded swiftly and strongly to these rumors, sharing her mother’s post on her Instagram stories.

"Hoax Spreads pain without touching, destroys without reason. For those who started this hoax, remember, there are consequences for every lie. I’ll leave it to God to handle each and every one of you," Felicia wrote on her Instagram story.

Meilia Lau, Felicia’s mother, had previously blasted the same false claims on Twitter, calling them immoral and illegal under Indonesian defamation laws.

"This news is extremely immoral and not based on facts. Spreading false news is a form of hoax, which is against the law and damages one’s reputation!" Meilia cautioned.

Despite the strong reactions from Felicia and Meilia, the hoax continued to circulate online, prompting Kaesang himself to consider legal action. His team released a statement stating that they "will not remain silent if [they] find [themselves] the target of slander and lies."

This incident underscores the growing concern around the spread of misinformation and false news, especially on social media platforms, which can cause significant harm to individuals and their families.
