The Ministry of Health in the province has announced an updated vaccination schedule for flu shots and COVID-19 boosters. Here’s who needs to get vaccinated and where to go:
Who Needs the Flu Vaccine?
- Healthcare workers
- Pregnant women (at any stage)
- Women who have given birth (up to 10 days postpartum)
- Children aged 6 to 24 months (two doses, four weeks apart)
- Children and adults aged 2 to 64 with respiratory, cardiac, or immunodeficiency conditions, or who are oncohematological patients, transplant recipients, or have obesity, diabetes, or chronic kidney disease on dialysis (medical order required)
- Adults aged 65 and above
Who Needs a COVID-19 Booster?
If it’s been six months or more since your last dose, regardless of the number of doses you’ve received, it’s time for a booster.
Vaccination Schedule:
Lunes 30, jueves 2 y viernes 3 de 8 a 12 y de 14 a 17 en el hospital A. I. de Llano (por calle República Dominicana).
- Bring your DNI, vaccination card, and a medical note if you’re between 2 and 64 with a risk condition.
Lunes 30, jueves 2 y viernes 3 de 8 a 12 y de 14 a 18.
- CAPS N° 1 – San José
- CAPS N° 5 – Dr. Montaña
- CAPS N° 9 – 17 de Agosto
- CAPS Nº 14 – Juan de Vera
- Bring your DNI and vaccination card. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Vaccines are free and available at primary healthcare centers, municipal health centers, and the following hospitals:
- Hospital Ángela I. de Llano
- Hospital Pediátrico Juan Pablo II (children only)
In the interior, vaccines are available at local hospitals in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
