U.S. stock futures rose on Monday, CNBC reported, as Wall Street looked to recover from a volatile week characterized by rising geopolitical tensions and monetary policy adjustments. U.S. Stock Futures Climb as Crude Oil Declines and Bond Markets Rally

The upward movement in equities followed a difficult prior week for major indices. According to CoinCentral, the Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 1.7% to record its third consecutive weekly decline, marking its worst performance since March. During the same period, the S&P 500 fell about 0.1%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq bucked the trend to post a 0.7% gain.

Energy Prices Eased by Stronger Gulf Flows and Hopes for Diplomacy

Monday’s market advance was supported by a noticeable retreat in crude oil prices, which offered relief to investors concerned about inflation. U.S. crude dropped 3% to $97.09 per barrel, while international benchmark Brent crude fell more than 3% to $100.50 per barrel, extending losses for a fourth straight day according to Livemint.

The decline in oil prices occurred despite renewed weekend hostilities in the Middle East. Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis claimed missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia. However, The News Observer reported that Saudi Arabia expects to restore about half of its East-West pipeline capacity within days, and energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz have reportedly picked up. Additionally, market sentiment found support in potential diplomatic talks, as President Donald Trump indicated he would probably be open to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Technology Shares and AI Demand Bolster Premarket Trading

Artificial intelligence-related stocks moved higher in premarket trading on Monday, providing additional momentum to the broader market rally. According to Reuters, Intel shares rose 5.2%, while Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Super Micro Computer added 2.4% and 3%, respectively. CNBC also noted premarket gains for Dell Technologies.

Upcoming Trump-Xi Summit and Central Bank Actions
