Drone Strike Targets Russian Military Airbase in Millerovo

In a significant development, multiple Russian Telegram channels, including the popular military propaganda channel "Rybar" associated with former Russian military ministry spokesperson Mikhail Zhinchuk, have reported a drone attack on the Russian military airbase in Millerovo, Rostov region.

According to descriptions on Russian military propaganda Telegram channels, at least 8 to 9 drones were engaged and taken down by Russian air defense systems. However, the incident did not occur without damage. A local Telegram channel reported a fire in Millerovo due to falling debris. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims it shot down 9 drones, while local governor Yuri Slyusar initially reported 8 downed unmanned aerial vehicles, which coincides with the "Rybar" channel’s information. The channel stated that 5 drones were shot down by the "Pantsir" air defense system, while another 3 were taken out by mobile fire groups.

Witness testimonies indicate a fire at the Millerovo Cossack Cadet Professional College building, with students evacuated from their dormitories.

Additional Incidents

Meanwhile, a warning of a missile threat was reported in Taganrog. The Russian Ministry of Defense also stated that two drones were shot down over the Azov Sea.
