A bizarre scene unfolded on the A16 highway near Prinsenbeek, Netherlands, on Friday morning when police spotted a Belgian-registered car swerving dangerously. Little did they know, the car held a secret that would leave them baffled.
The car was pulled over due to erratic driving and bloodstains on the door. What the officers found was astonishing: a 29-year-old Belgian driver, visibly intoxicated, with a gravely injured man named ‘Bob’ seated beside him.
Investigations are ongoing in Belgium to unravel the events leading to Bob’s stab wounds. However, the man had received initial medical aid. "It explained some things, but it was strange nonetheless," the officers wrote on Instagram.
The driver’s attempts to evade punishment hit a dead end when he presented a fake driver’s license and police discovered €8,100 in cash in the trunk. The driver was arrested for drink-driving, forgery, and the cash was seized.
His holiday plans took an abrupt turn towards the Mijkenbroek arrest complex in Breda, announced the police.
