As reported by Nødetaten, emergency services have rushed to the scene of an accident in Lierskogen, where an elderly woman has been hit by a car. The incident occurred around 16:10 today.
Authorities have confirmed that the woman’s relatives have been notified. The operations leader, Espen Reite, spoke to VG, prioritizing the assistance of the injured woman while detailing ongoing life-saving first aid efforts. A rescue helicopter has landed at the scene, and Drammensveien has been completely closed off due to the incident.
The cause of the accident is not yet clear, with Reite stating: "We’re working to gain an overview and investigating the incident’s sequence of events… We’re in contact with other involved parties." It appears that the woman was struck by a car.
