Elon Women’s Basketball Announces Exciting 2025-26 Nonconference Schedule
Get ready, Phoenix fans! Elon University’s women’s basketball team has unveiled its highly anticipated nonconference schedule for the 2025-26 season. This year’s slate promises thrilling matchups both at home in the Schar Center and on the road, including a special trip to the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The team is gearing up for 12 non-conference games. Five of these games are regular-season home games, five are road contests, and two games will be played at the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Home Opener and Key Matchups
The season officially tips off with an exhibition game against Winston-Salem State on October 28th at home. The regular season commences on November 3rd with an away game against ETSU. Shortly after, on November 6th, the Phoenix travel to Chapel Hill to face the North Carolina Tar Heels.
This game will mark a homecoming for Elon head coach Charlotte Smith, a celebrated UNC alumna and basketball icon. Smith is entering her 15th season leading the Phoenix.

Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands
Following a road game against Georgetown on November 24th, the Phoenix will head to the Caribbean to participate in the Paradise Jam tournament. This exciting event, held on the campus of the University of the Virgin Islands, will see Elon facing off against Tulane on November 27th. The following day, they will battle either North Dakota or Boise State. This tournament provides a unique opportunity for the team to test their skills against diverse competition.

December Showdowns: Road Tests and Home Court Advantage
December kicks off with a road trip to East Carolina on December 7th. The Phoenix return home to host Longwood on December 14th before hitting the road again to face UNCG on December 17th.
The nonconference schedule concludes with back-to-back home games against Norfolk State on December 21st and N.C. Wesleyan on December 30th. These final games before conference play are crucial for building momentum.
