Tucumán‘s Health Minister Offers Tips for Enjoying the Festivities Safely
As the new year approaches, Minister of Health Luis Medina Ruiz has shared vital recommendations to help residents celebrate responsibly and safely. In a press conference at츀르 principaux hospitals de la province, le ministre a encouragé la population à être responsable pour éviter les situations indésirables.
The minister highlighted the preparations made by the provincial health system to handle any emergency that may arise during the festivities. "We want everyone to welcome the new year in the best way possible," he said. "But the best-case scenario is that you won’t have to come to the hospital, because that would mean you had a happy night and a great start to the new year."
Additionally, Minister Medina Ruiz emphasized the importance of precautions for those planning to travel during the holidays. " Many people will be starting their vacations after the holidays, and it’s crucial to take all necessary precautions, especially regarding dengue," he said. "There are countries in the region, like Brazil, where all dengue virus strains are circulating. If you’re eligible for the vaccine, it’s highly recommended to get it."
In Tucumán, residents aged 10 to 49 can receive the vaccine, thanks to the decision of Governor Osvaldo Jaldo. The health minister also advised travelers to use repellents, wear long sleeves during peak mosquito activity hours, and seek medical attention promptly if any symptoms appear after returning from a trip.
Furthermore, Minister Medina Ruiz talked about the reinforced health services in the province. "We have strengthened the guards of all health centers located in beach towns, and we have a mobile trailer equipped with technology that allows professionals to contact specialists through telemedicine," he explained.
The minister concluded by wishing all Tucumanians a "Happy New Year. The first step starts with each one of us being responsible. We are attentive, but it depends on each one of us for the new year to start happily."
With these recommendations, the Minister of Health aims to ensure that Tucumán residents enjoy the festivities safely and responsibly, marking the beginning of a healthy and prosperous new year.
