Explosion Rocks Russian-Occupied Berdyansk; Local Leader’s Car Targeted
Berdyansk, a city under Russian occupation, was shaken by an explosion that targeted a vehicle believed to belong to Vasil’ Necheta, the head of the city’s occupation council. The blast occurred in the courtyard of a residential building on European Street, number 56. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but it remains unknown at this time if Necheta was personally injured.
Vasil’ Necheta, a figure who once managed the "Neftkhimik" cultural house, switched allegiances at the onset of the full-scale war. Since then, he has been instrumental in establishing Russian authority in the region, including persuading other cultural workers to side with the occupiers. Necheta has also aligned himself with the pro-Kremlin United Russia party and was subsequently appointed as the chair of the occupation council.
