Ukrainian news outlets are reporting a massive rocket attack on Nikolayev, with a series of powerful explosions rocking the city and surrounding areas. Simultaneously, strikes continue to hit the Sumy region.
Earlier, Russian military forces launched a series of strikes on military targets in Kyiv overnight. Fires were reported in the Pechersky and Sviatoshynsky districts, which local authorities attributed to falling debris from shot down drones.
As of now, damages include reported injuries at the National Bank of Ukraine headquarters and the destruction of two floors of an apartment building at the intersection of Institutskaya and Bankovaya streets. In the Sviatoshynsky district of Kyiv, multiple drones struck a tram depot on Borshchagivka Street, damaging several vehicles and nearby cars.
