2025: President Raedev Calls for Unity Amid Global Challenges
As we stand on the cusp of 2025, President Rumen Raedev looks towards the future with both apprehension and hope, urging Bulgarians to unite and overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
In his annual New Year’s address, the President acknowledged the tumultuous state of the world, marked by intensifying conflicts, democratic backsliding, and impending trials. Even Europe, once a bastion of peace and stability, now grapples withinand the future of its democratic values. Bulgaria too, fresh from parliamentary elections, finds itself without a clear path out of its political crisis.
Yet, Raedev remains optimistic, stressing the importance of collective effort and citizen participation. "Bulgaria’s strength lies in our unity," he said, "and in the active involvement of every citizen in shaping our future."
The President paid tribute to Bulgarian citizens – students, engineers, artists, athletes – driving the country forward with their dedication and hard work. He also expressed gratitude towards essential workers, from healthcare professionals to law enforcement, who ensure the nation’s well-being and security.
Looking ahead to 2025, Raedev emphasized the necessity of unity, wisdom, and resilience. "Together, we shall navigate the new challenges that await us," he declared, "and preserve our homeland in this era of global upheaval."
As we step into the New Year, let us embrace the President’s call for unity, set ambitious goals, and work together to build a stronger, more prosperous Bulgaria. May 2025 bring each of us joy, light, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
