New York: Dominican Man Dies After being Struck by Line 4 Train in the Bronx
New York, NY – A Dominican man lost his life Monday morning after being hit by a Line 4 train at the Burnside Avenue-Jerome Avenue station in the Bronx.
Juan Felix, a 38-year-old man from the municipality of Arenoso in the Duarte province of the Dominican Republic, was fatally struck by the train. The cause of the incident remains unknown; it is unclear whether Felix fell or was pushed onto the tracks.
The train was heading south towards Manhattan at the time of the incident.
Authorities are currently investigating the fatal accident.
