The municipality emphasizes, "By banning fireworks in this area, we prevent danger, damage, or disturbance to nature, humans, and animals."
No Illegals, Please
The police will be checking for illegal fireworks. Possession of such can lead to a fine. Examples of illegal fireworks include strike matches, nitrates, butterfly or mortar bombs, lavalier missiles, and knap missiles or cartridges.
No Wensballonnen Either
It’s also forbidden to release wishes balloons in Lelystad.
