Medan: Former Military Man Found Dead After Alleged Kidnapping and Torture by Retired Sergeant
A grim discovery was made when Andreas Sianipar (44), a former military man, was found dead, believed to have been a victim of kidnapping and torture at the hands of retired Sergeant HS, alongside several other individuals. Andreas’ brother, Anggito Sianipar, confirmed the tragic news.
"He was dismissed from the military in 2013," Anggito revealed. The deceased, who held the rank of Sergeant at the time, was formerly colleague to HS, having served together in the 100th Infantry Battalion in Binjai.
A post-mortem examination indicated that Andreas died from asphyxiation, with signs of strangulation and forced nasal obstruction contributing to his demise. After his death, the assailants transported his body to North Labuhanbatu Regency, securing it during transit.
Police have apprehended three civilians suspected of involvement: CJS (23), MFIH (25), and FA (37). Meanwhile, Sergeant HS is in military custody. Authorities are still pursuing one additional suspect.
The motivation behind this heinous act remains under investigation, as local law enforcement continues to piece together the events leading to Andreas’ tragic end. (afb/afb)
