Former RHOA Star Kim Zolciak’s Son Arrested on Serious Charges

Kroy Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak and former Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann, was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged as an adult with aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery following an alleged incident at an Alpharetta gym in April, according to Alpharetta police records.

The Arrest and Legal Charges in Alpharetta

Alpharetta police confirmed that the teenager faces serious felony counts stemming from an investigation into events that allegedly occurred earlier this year. According to official police findings reported by WSB-TV, the juvenile is being prosecuted as an adult.

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann filed for divorce in May of last year, keeping their family in the public eye through a series of highly publicized legal and personal disputes.

Defense Statements and Denials from Family

Kim Zolciak issued a firm denial regarding the accusations against her son in a statement provided to Page Six on Friday. She called the allegations “reckless and deeply troubling” and stated that her son “categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”

Zolciak’s statement also pointed to physical evidence, noting that an examination yielded no DNA belonging to her son. Furthermore, she claimed that the accuser had made similar allegations involving two other individuals, raising concerns that she believes warrant closer examination.

“We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations,” Zolciak wrote.

Legal Representation Responds to Evidence and Polygraph Results

The defense attorney representing Kroy Biermann Jr. released a separate statement on Friday night criticizing the public dissemination of information involving a juvenile and asserting his client’s innocence.

According to the defense attorney, the teenager attempted to present exonerating evidence to the arresting officer, including a passed polygraph examination administered by a recognized sex offender polygrapher, alongside documentation regarding prior false allegations allegedly made by the accuser.

The defense statement also highlighted police report notes indicating that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) found no male DNA on or inside the areas where the complainant claimed the assault took place. The attorney argued that an arrest would likely have been avoided had law enforcement reviewed these findings more closely prior to taking action.

“The fact that he’s been arrested and is being held without Bond is a tragedy,” the attorney’s statement read. “He is not only presumed innocent, but is in fact innocent. I will work tirelessly to demonstrate to the District Attorney’s office the mean-spirited nature of these false allegations and to bring a close to this matter as quickly as possible.”
