Headline: Police Seize Unregistered Bus with 400 kg of Illicit Laughing Gas in Oudenbosch
In a deserted order bus in Oudenbosch, police discovered an astonishing 400 kg of laughing gas, also known as nitrous oxide, on Monday. The vehicle had been flagged for inspection after it was found to be uninsured and unroadworthy.
After a brief investigation, the bus was confiscated with the consent of a justice officer, according to a police statement on Instagram. Authorities have since initiated a search for the owner.
Laughing gas, often used as a recreational drug for its euphoric effects, has been classified as a regulated substance under the Opium Act since 2023, putting it in the same category as drugs. The primary concern surrounding its misuse is the littering of empty containers and leftover balloons.
