Police stormed Sandnes city center late Thursday night, resulting in one person being hospitalized with injuries. The man suspected of causing the injuries claims he acted in self-defense, fearing for his own life.

A total of five individuals have been identified and are being sought by the police following the stabbing incident in Sandnes. Among them is a man in his 20s who is facing charges of attempted murder. He is represented by lawyer Anne Hølland, who tells VG that her client was acting in self-defense and did what was necessary to protect his life.

The suspect, like the other four individuals sought by police, is also accused of breaching Section 279 of the Norwegian Penal Code, which covers agreements to commit murder or cause significant harm to a person. Following the stabbing incident, a 20-year-old man was taken into custody soon after. The victim was transported to the hospital and is not in critical condition, according to police lawyer Fredrik Martin Soma.

The arrested individual has been identified as one of the five suspects sought by police. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with more details expected to be released as the case progresses.
