The holiday season is upon us, and even our hardest-working politicians need a break. Here’s what some of them have planned, along with their intriguing reading lists.
Family Time and Intellectual Pursuits
Families Minister Diana Stolz (CDU) is hitting the slopes in Tirol, accompanied by her gift-induced reading list. Meanwhile, Christian Heinz, Minister of Justice, plans to catch his children’s church play and dig into Yuval Noah Harari’s "Sapiens."
Digital Minister Kristina Sinemus (CDU) is heading to sunny La Palma with her family, armed with Karl Olsberg’s "Virtua: KI – Kontrolle ist Illusion," while Manfred Pentz, Minister for Europe, looks forward to a snowball fight with his kids on the Wasserkuppe, with Agatha Christie’s "Hercule Poirots Weinnachten" in his bag.
In contrast, Roman Poseck, Minister of the Interior, will be visiting family and spending time with his 85-year-old mother. He plans to delve into Angela Merkel’s memoirs during his downtime.

Cultural Minister Timon Gremmels (SPD) is escaping to Chile, where he’ll enjoy the company of his in-laws and a book by none other than Hape Kerkeling.
