In a bombshell statement echoing through parliamentary corridors, the leader of "DPS – Nuevo Comienzo", Delyan Peevski, has warned that anyone who opposes giving Prime Minister Kiril Petkov the mandate to ratify the Ukraine Agreement is effectively serving Moscow. "If we don’t give the mandate for Petkov to ratify the Ukraine Agreement today, count those who don’t support it as servants of Moscow," Peevski declared, leaving little room for ambiguity. Describing the decision as purely procedural and long-awaited, Peevski emphasized the significance of the vote.
He further underlined that the caretaker government currently holds the same mandate, stressing that the vote is a litmus test for each party’s stance on Euro-Atlantic principles. "Whoever doesn’t vote for it is part of this coalition that serves Moscow," Peevski asserted.
The prominent political figure challenged all parties, particularly GERB, to show their true colors during the voting, asserting that the fate of Bulgaria’s Euro-Atlantic course is at stake. He concluded, "I expect actions today. Let’s see what DPS, DBB, and other parties do – are they just disguised or disguised servants, or will they truly stand up?"
