Breaking News: Tourist Bus Plunges Off Kongsveien at Ekeberg, Oslo; Passengers Safe

(oslo, norway) – Emergency services have rushed to the scene at Ekeberg in Oslo after a full tourist bus careened off Kongsveien, a main road in the city. The incident occurred near the famous Ekebergrestauranten, the road’s most notable landmark.

Vidar Pedersen, operations leader at the scene, confirmed, "We’ve requisitioned tow trucks to pull the bus back onto the road and prevent further damage." He added that the bus was traveling up the hill when it veered off the road.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but authorities suspect icy conditions may have played a role, given the recent snowfall in Oslo. All 46 passengers, including the driver, have been safely evacuated to the Ekebergrestauranten for warmth and shelter.

Brannvesenet, the Norwegian Fire Service, is securing the bus to ensure it doesn’t slip any further and potentially crash into nearby tram tracks. While there are no reports of injuries, an ambulance has been deployed to the scene as a precaution.
