The new model is slated to weigh approximately 180 grams, which represents an 8-gram reduction from the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which weighs 188 grams. Although the weight difference may appear minor on paper, the change is intended to make the device feel more comfortable for users during daily operation.
Regarding the device’s thickness, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will measure 6.1mm when unfolded, excluding the rubber bumper surrounding the inner display. When the bumper is included, the total thickness is said to be 6.6mm, a figure that remains roughly in line with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
