Following recent wear and tear, the Regional Council completed a full restoration of the Gush Etzion bike singletrack, repaving and preparing the route for riders nearly two decades after it was built. Bible Bike’s Hovav Landau spearheaded the renovation efforts, which were made possible by a financial contribution from the Katz family of Efrat, dedicated to Joe Secor’s memory.
The singletrack crosses two dramatically different areas, crossing the arid desert of eastern Gush Etzion and a mountainous region characterized by agricultural terraces, natural springs, forests, and woodland. Thanks to its lofty altitude and natural springs, the path remains suitable for summer cycling despite offering some tough ascents.
