Local Woman Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Accident in Lier
Emergency services responded to a report of a pedestrian collision in Lier, at the intersection of Drammensveien and Ulvenveien, on Thursday at 4:27 PM. The victim, a woman, was unconscious when emergency services arrived on the scene.
"Air ambulance is en route. One person is unconscious, and life-saving first aid is being administered," said operations leader Sigurd Edvardsen of the Sørøst police district in the police log.
Operations leader Espen Reite told NTB that the woman was a pedestrian who had been struck by a car. "We are in contact with all parties at the scene, but our focus is on caring for the person who has been injured," he said.
The incident is under investigation, and further details will be provided as they become available.
