One Year Later: Desperate Owners Boost Reward to €15,000 for Missing Dog, Honduras Paco
It’s been an entire year since Honduras Paco, a beloved family dog, vanished without a trace. In a desperate bid to bring their pet home, Paco’s owners have increased the reward for his safe return to €15,000.
The golden retriever was last seen on September 14, 2021, in the province of North Holland, Netherlands. Despite extensive search efforts and numerous sightings reported, Paco remains missing, leaving his family heartbroken and hopeful for his return.
Fazila Akcakaya, Paco’s owner, shared, "Every day without Paco feels like an eternity. We’re offering a higher reward in the hopes that it will encourage anyone with information to come forward."
Paco is microchipped and well-known in the area. Despite his friendly nature, he’s never ventured far from home. Akcakaya believes someone may be caring for Paco unknowingly or knowingly hiding him.
The increased reward, up from €5,000, is being funded by contributions from the local community, friends, and family. Akcakaya hopes the substantial amount will motivate anyone with information to do the right thing.
"If you know anything, no matter how small, please, please come forward," Akcakaya implored. "We just want our beloved boy back home."
Anyone with information about Honduras Paco is urged to contact the local police or animal welfare organizations. A dedicated website and social media pages have been set up to help with the search efforts.
Update: As of October 14, 2022, Paco is still missing. His family continues to appeal for any information that could lead to his return. The reward remains at €15,000.
