Ukraine Intercepts Radio Chats Revealing Russian Troops’ Use of Performance-Enhancing Drugs

In a revelation that sheds new light on the tactics and strategies employed by Russian forces in Ukraine, Ukrainian intelligence has intercepted radio communications that discuss the use of performance-enhancing drugs. This information was disclosed during the broadcast of "Current War in Ukraine" on the state-owned Latvian television channel LTV.

Majors from the Zemessardzes staff, Jānis Slaidiņš, affirm the intercepted communications, exposing Russian troops‘ use of substances like glycines, dimedrol, and the synthetic narcotic mefedrone. These drugs are believed to be employed to boost the soldiers’ stamina and aggression during combat operations.

Jānis Labucs, the host of the show, highlighted the significance of this revelation by mentioning the numerous viewer queries they had received about possible performance-enhancing substances used by Russian troops. "For some time now, we’ve been asking ourselves if Russian troops are taking certain pills to encourage them to move forward into the frontlines at their own peril," he noted. "Now, we finally have an answer."

Slaidiņš confirmed the authenticity of the intercepted communications, stating, "Yes, the intercepted conversations certainly suggest this." The implications of this discovery are far-reaching, potentially providing insights into Russian troop behavior and motivation during the ongoing conflict.
