Solo Chief of PDIP‘s DPC, FX Hadi Rudyatmo, Reacts to News of Hasto Kristiyanto’s Appointment as KPK Suspect
Solo – The recent announcement by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of naming PDIP General Secretary Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect has sparked reactions, including fromSolo Democratic Party’s PDIP (Democratic Party of Struggle) Chief of Regional Leadership Board, FX Hadi Rudyatmo, also known as FX Rudy.
FX Rudy, when approached at his Pucang Sawit residence in Jebres, Solo on Tuesday (December 25, 2024), expressed his surprise at the news. "I haven’t received any official notification about him being a suspect or anything else. However, I can ensure that PDI Perjuangan members are compliant with the law," he asserted.
Rudy admitted that he had only learnt about the Suspect Appointment Letter (SPRINDIK) through social media, as he had not been officially informed of the matter. He emphasized that the party’s legal bureau had the authority to handle such cases, and expressed hope that PDIP’s Supreme Chairman would intervene.
Despite being unaware of the details, the former Solo mayor maintained that the party would follow legal procedures and respect the state’s laws. "PDI Perjuangan will always obey the law," he declared resolutely. "We won’t interfere with law enforcement agencies," he added.
Regarding the overall impact on party members, Rudy reassured that they would maintain unity. He stressed that following the law should be the collective priority, echoing the theme of compliance already emphasized by KPK.
hasto Kristiyanto’s suspicion stems from allegations of bribery linked to an election dispute with Harun Masiku. Earlier reports from detikNews cited KPK officials confirming Hasto’s status as a suspect in the investigation. The SPINDIK that appointed Hasto as a suspect, numbered Sprin.Dik/153/DIK.00/01/12/2024 and dated December 23, 2024, was issued post-examination and after the inaugural speech of KPK’s newly appointed leaders led by the head, who took his oath before the President, Prabowo Subianto, on December 20, 2024.
