James Beard Taste America Returns to Los Angeles This Fall

The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America culinary series will offer a walk-around tasting showcasing the Los Angeles food scene on Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at the LINE Los Angeles, according to an announcement made Monday by the organization behind the James Beard Awards. Presented by American Express and Resy, the nationwide tour highlights acclaimed local chefs across 20 cities and will feature more than 10 stations with food, beverages, and special activations.

Tickets for the Los Angeles tasting go on sale Tuesday, with prices set at $225 for premier access and $175 for general admission, according to the foundation. General admission provides access to all food and beverage offerings available throughout the evening. Proceeds from the event support the James Beard Foundation’s national impact programs, which focus on fostering a sustainable and equitable future for independent restaurants.

Sonenshein and Vahle will lead a collective of 10 independent restaurant chefs from across Los Angeles.
