James (Seamus) Morrin of 2 Riverview, the Neale Road, Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, and formerly of Cong Village and Wembley, London, passed away peacefully on 25th September 2026 in the care of the staff at the Mayo Hospice Castlebar.
Mr. Morrin was predeceased by his wife Teresa Morrin (née Casey), his parents Jim and Annie Morrin, and his brothers Sean, Patsy, Brendan, and David. He is survived by his daughters Una McDonnell in London and Mary Dennehy in Cork, sons-in-law Raymond and Tony, grandchildren Cieran, Tara, Anthony, Lorraine, and Catherine, and his sister Kathleen Carolan, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Funeral Arrangements and Memorial Services
Reposing for Mr. Morrin will take place at St. Joseph’s Funeral Home in Ballinrobe (F31 XV63) on Sunday evening, 27th September, beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by removal at 6:00 p.m. to Saint Mary of the Rosary Church in Cong. The Requiem Mass is scheduled for Monday morning, 28th September, at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral proceeding afterward to Lisloughrey Cemetery in Cong. The family has requested that the house remain private.
