Kerala State School Arts Festival Enters Exciting Fourth Day; Finals Await
The 63rd Kerala State School Arts Festival is in its penultimate day, with competition heating up as final positions are locked in. A total of 249 events have been contested across four days, with 179 now completed. The final 70 events will unfold on the closing day.
Heading into the last day, Kannur leads the race with 713 points, closely followed by Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram with 708 and 702 points respectively. Alattur Gurukula Higher Secondary School is at the top among schools with 123 points, followed by Karmal Higher Secondary School from Thiruvananthapuram with 93 points.
Yesterday’s events included traditional art forms like K تعبടി, Thiruvathira Kali, folk dances, Theyyam, Chavers, Kerala Nadanam, Kolkkali, Bharatanatyam for boys, Parichamuttu, Ottanthullal, Kathakali, Deshabhaktigana, Mookabhinaya, Mala Bathukalam, group songs, story recitation, and band displays.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the festival’s food court, interacting with students and participants. He was joined by ministers V Shivankutty, G R Anil, Mayor Arya Rajendran, and MLAs Kadakampally Surendran, V Joy, Ahmed Devarakonda, and Thottam Raviendran.
Today’s major attractions include the High School and Higher Secondary School drama competitions at TAGOR Theatre, group dance events at venue one, and higher secondary school folk dance events at venue five. Monologue acts, mimicry competitions, and other events are also scheduled.
