In a latest development, Latvia has prepared another shipment of drones to Ukraine, with over 1000 units ready to be dispatched, as announced by Defense Minister Andris Sprūds via Twitter. These drones, designed for various combat purposes, are part of the ongoing support provided by Latvian drone manufacturers to Ukraine.
Latvia is leading a drone coalition alongside the UK, with a joint commitment to spend €20 million on drone acquisitions in 2025 within this coalition. Minister Sprūds highlighted that multiple nations have joined this effort to support Ukraine, including Australia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Estonia, Italy, New Zealand, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and several other countries.
By August this year, the drone coalition had succeeded in securing over €500 million worth of drone deliveries to Ukraine. This collective initiative demonstrates the international community‘s commitment to aiding Ukraine’s defense efforts.
