Repeated Burglaries Target Manurewa Laundromat
Between March 26 and April 13, a woman and several associates allegedly targeted a laundromat on Jellicoe Road in Manurewa, resulting in eight separate burglaries. The alleged offenses involved breaking into washing machines and dryers to steal coins from deposit boxes, according to Inspector MinHo Lee.
Police responded to a report of a break-in at the same laundromat around 7:08 am yesterday, April 14. Officers arrived within minutes to find a man and a woman damaging property. Both individuals were arrested at the scene.
Charges Filed
A 29-year-old woman is facing nine counts of burglary and five counts of possession of an instrument for burglary. She was due to appear in Manukau District Court today. A 35-year-old man has been charged with burglary and possession of an instrument for burglary and is scheduled to appear in the Manukau District Court on May 5.
