Legia Warszawa Open Training Session Draws Fans After Białystok Match
Legia Warszawa players returned to training on Thursday at 16:30 following a three-day break granted after their match against Białystok. Supporters gathered at the facility to watch the session after winning the “Wizyta na treningu” reward through the “Legiony” program.
Before training commenced, the players and the coaching and medical staff gathered in front of a grandstand filled with fans from the Legiony program for a team photograph. While healthy players immediately took to the field, recovering squad members spent the session posing for photos, signing autographs, and interacting with supporters.
Absent Internationals and Injured Players
Several squad members missed the session due to international duty. The absentees included Otto Hindrich with the senior Romania national team, Jakub Żewłakow and Wojciech Urbański with the U-21 squad, Mateusz Szczepaniak with the U-20 team, and Mateusz Lauryn alongside Filip Przybyłko with the U-19 side.
Players recovering from injuries sat out the group workout. Shinnosuke Fukuda, who picked up an injury during a reserve team match, Kamil Piątkowski, injured near the end of the match against Widzew, and Wahan Biczachczjan alongside Samuel Kovacik—both undergoing rehabilitation for knee issues—did not train with the team. According to team plans, all four are expected to return to training next week and become available to the coaching staff.
Youth Standouts and Upcoming Fixtures
Young prospects from the reserve and CLJ squads participated in the workout under the close observation of the coaching staff led by Marek Papszun. Nikodem Gimiński performed strongly in goal, while outfield youngsters included Edouard von Brandt-Etchemendigaray, Cyprian Pchełka, Aleksander Wyganowski, Jan Gawarecki, and Oskar Krakowiak.
The showcase session featured numerous shooting drills and small-sided games. Łukasz Zjawiński and Jan Kuchta demonstrated sharp finishing, while Bartosz Kapustka and Michal Sevcik controlled the midfield. Bohdan Wjunnyk and Rafał Adamski pushed through the workout at an increased tempo.
