In a Shocking Turn of Events, Woman Admits to Dragging Husband After Catching Him in Infidelity
In an unexpected turn of events, Melody Sharon (31) has confessed to severely assaulting and dragging her husband after discovering his infidelity. The incident took place in Cipayung, East Jakarta. Initially, Melody showed no remorse, even going on a trip to Bali with her lover. However, after being apprehended and charged, she expressed profound regret.
"Before my arrest, I didn’t feel any remorse. I didn’t even bother to check on my husband and our children. I even went on a vacation with my lover to Bali," Melody admitted to police. Yet, once she was apprehended and officially charged, Melody broke down in tears, expressing her remorse.
Police revealed that Melody was fully conscious and aware of her actions when she dragged her husband for 200 meters, causing his leg to fracture. This chilling attack was motivated by finding him cheating.
Melody is now in custody at the Metro Jakarta Timur Police Station. She faces charges under Article 44, paragraph 2 of Law No. 23/2004 concerning Domestic Violence.
Adultery Allegations Surface
In a twist of events, Melody is also facing adultery allegations. Her husband, identified as ‘AG’, has filed a report with the Metro Jaya Police Department (dispatch no. LP/B/7754/XII/2024/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA). The report names Melody and her alleged lover, identified by the initials ‘TS’.
"Our efforts are underway, as we have received a report related to Article 284, the law on adultery," confirmed Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police Department.
According to the victim, he discovered his wife’s suspected affair on 6 November 2024. His wife reportedly entered their apartment complex with another man, who was not her husband.
The case is currently under investigation.
