Title: Warm Mediterranean Air to Bring Unseasonal Heat and Rain to Ukraine

Ukraine is set to experience an extraordinary warm spell this week, thanks to a influx of warm, humid air massesoriginating from the Mediterranean. This unusual phenomenon will not only push temperatures above their typical January thresholds but could also challenge certain regional record highs, according to renowned meteorologist Igor Kibalchich of meteoprog.

Starting from today, Monday, the country can expect a consistent rise in temperatures. Additionally, weather patterns indicate that precipitation, primarily in the form of rain and drizzle, will become more frequent. In some cases, these showers may transition into wet snow.

  • Wind conditions are expected to be southerly, with gusts reaching 7 to 12 m/s, and even stronger winds, up to 15 to 20 m/s, in western, central, and northern regions.
  • Temperatures will range from 0 degrees Celsius to +5 degrees Celsius in the north, and up to +7 degrees Celsius in the southern and Carpathian areas. The northern Left Bank regions may experience overnight temperatures between -3 degrees Celsius and +2 degrees Celsius.
