Assen’s Night Drama: Resident Trapped in Critical Situation at Kloosterveen Care Home
In the early hours of the morning, around 4:15 AM, the Assen fire department found itself in the thick of a precarious situation at a residential care home in Kloosterveen. A resident had unexpectedly ended up in a dire predicament, trapped with their leg stuck behind a radiator.
The specifics of how this incident occurred remain unclear. An initial response by an ambulance proved insufficient, and the situation was handed over to the fire department. They swiftly dispatched a team equipped with the necessary tools to the care home.
The fire department successfully freed the trapped resident from the perilous situation. Fortunately, as far as it’s known, no immediate medical care was required, and the resident did not need to be transported to the hospital.
"This was a delicate situation, but thankfully, our team was able to secure the safety of the resident," said a spokesperson for the fire department.
While the cause of this unusual event remains undetermined, it serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and preventative measures in care home facilities.
