Heads-Up: Who to Expect on the Street and at Enrollment Centers
In light of Ukraine‘s ongoing martial law, власти по new rules are now in effect that may affect who you see on the streets and at Enrollment Centers (ТЦК). Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening:
Who Could be Detained and Brought to a ТЦК
Following the President’s decree, martial law remains in force. As of May 18, the new mobilization law mandates that conscription-age individuals carry both their personal ID and military documents. Without these documents, police can detain and transport males to a temporary detention center and enrollment and reserve office (ТЦК) for verification. Penalties or draft notice handoff may follow.
Mandatory Data Updates Reminder
May 18, 2024, marked the implementation of the Mobilization law. Everyone liable for conscription, reservists, and those aged 18 to 60 were required to update their details at local CNPAs, ТЦК, or via the ‘Reserve+’ mobile app by July 16, 2024. Failure to comply risks a fine up to 25,500 UAH, payable within 15 days. Even post-payment, offenders must still update their information. Unresolved cases will be escalated to enforcement agencies.
Automatic Deferments and App Updates
In late 2024, Cabinet of Ministers introduced revisions to the mobilization order. Now, automatic deferments can be granted and managed via the ‘Reserve+’ app upon request. This system also automatically cancels deferments based on new data obtained electronically.
