Jelte’s Family Faces ‘Earthquake’-like Scenes at Serious Request Brievenbus; Cheque-Marathon for Metakids
Jelte’s family found themselves in the midst of a whirlwind, or "a sort of earthquake," as Barend described it, when they visited the 3FM Serious Request brievenbus. TheHoenderloo bakker, who is one of the faces of this year’s Serious Request campaign, attracted a sizeable crowd, much to the surprise of his family.
Sanne and Hein, Jelte’s parents, arrived at the brievenbus with a remarkable scene unfolding. They were accompanied by a large group of people, each eager to contribute to the Metakids charity. The donation process turned into a marathon, with Sanne struggling to keep track of the total amount collected.
Reflecting on the week that had passed, Sanne struggled to find words to describe the experience, while Hein was left awe-struck. As the campaign enters its final day, Sanne has a heartfelt message: "I want everyone to know what a metabolic disorder is by January 1st, and I know we’ll achieve this together."
Overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, Sanne shared, "You’ve all found a special place in my heart. It’s incredible what you’re all doing together." As the clock ticks down to the campaign’s conclusion, let’s join forces and make Sanne’s wish a reality.
