Title: "Former BSP Leader Korneliya Ninova Blasts Parliamentary Vacation Amidst Economic Downturn, Launches ‘Unyielding Bulgaria’ Pollical Project"

Korneliya Ninova, the former leader of Bulgaria’s Socialist Party (BSP), has criticized the political instability, economic uncertainty, and social discontent prevalent in the country throughout the past year. In response, Ninova has launched a new political initiative, "Unyielding Bulgaria".

Ninova lambasted the situation, "Our state is in financial chaos, and yet our deputies are on vacation." She asserted that if she were in the position of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, she would have called an emergency parliamentary session on January 2, stating, "That wouldn’t be populism."

Describing the current parliament as "phony," Ninova expressed concern about the 70-80% drop in foreign investments expected in 2024 and the sustained decrease in industrial production over the past 18 months. The only factor keeping the economy afloat, she noted, is consumer spending.

However, Ninova also highlighted the country’s recent admission into the Schengen Area‘s land border regime as a positive development.

Ninova conveyed an urgent need for an alternative to the current political landscape. She announced her new political project, "Unyielding Bulgaria," aimed at dismantling the ‘deep state‘ and backroom dealings plaguing the nation. Ninova claimed that smaller left-wing parties, previously posing as alternatives, have now succumbed to power-sharing negotiations.

Ninova distances herself from BSP, stating, "I am the only politician who didn’t sit at the table with the establishment, despite being offered the chance." She criticized other politicians as having "sell-out patriotism" and called on BSP to justify "betraying the people who supported them."

Ninova’s new movement, "Unyielding Bulgaria," will initially function as a national initiative before transitioning into a political party. Details of their official program are yet to be announced, pending their registration.
