NTT‘s New Allowance: A Boon for Educators
Guru resource personnel in the Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) region can now rejoice as the holy month of Ramadan brings with it a pleasant surprise—a new allowance. The Regional Education Office (Disdik) recently confirmed that NTT has been allocated a substantial sum for this purpose.
Kadis Dikbud NTT, Drs. Hendrikus, revealed that this endorsement comes directly from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The funds will be distributed to all guru resources across the region, a significantly positive development.
"I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Culture for their trust and support," said Hendrikus. This news has certainly lifted the spirits of educators in NTT, who have been awaiting this announcement.
In other news, the Teacher Proficiency Test (TPG) for the fourth trial has been postponed by two months. Ombudsman Bengkulu has confirmed that they are prepared to accept reports from educators regarding any issues they face during this period.
Meanwhile, thousands of high school teachers in Indonesia have been busy celebrating a double joy—Eid Mubarak and the 13th month’s salary (THR). The regional finance offices have begun disbursing these payments, providing much-needed relief to these dedicated educators.
Lastly, in a strategic move to improve teacher proficiency, several districts in Jambi have started implementing the latest technologies in teacher training programs. This initiative aims to enhance the teaching skills of educators across the province, ensuring that students receive the best possible education.
