Plovdiv‘s ‘rope man’, Todor Vasilev – Chacho, passes away unexpectedly
Plovdiv native Todor Vasilev, affectionately known as ‘Chacho’, has sadly passed away, as announced on social media by his close ones. Vasilev gained notoriety for his unconventional method of transporting his wife, namely by tying her onto a rope and dragging her along on a motorcycle.
The sudden passing of Todor occurred while he was out of the country. His funeral will take place on January 8 at the Rogozhka cemetery’s ‘Akropolis’ Trauerkomplex, as per the wishes of his family.
A beloved figure in Plovdiv, Vasilev’s unorthodox means of transport sparked both amusement and controversy. Despite the attention, he maintained a fondness for his unique mode of travel, which he used to ferry his wife around both in Plovdiv and Sunny Beach.
