PAS Youth Accuses PKR Leader of Misquoting Sanusi

PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden announced plans to lodge a police report against Selangor PKR election director Dr N Sathia Prakash, accusing him of sedition and attempting to stir racial hostility by allegedly twisting remarks made by Kedah Menteri Besar Sanusi Nor regarding Malaysia’s ethnic minority communities.

Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden Demands Public Apology From Selangor PKR Election Director

According to PAS Youth, the dispute centers on public comments made by Sanusi Nor, who serves as the Perikatan Nasional election director. Sanusi previously suggested that different ethnic groups in Malaysia could fall back on ancestral homelands outside the country. Following those remarks, Selangor PKR election director Dr N Sathia Prakash lodged a police report against the PAS leader.

However, PAS Youth has hit back hard against that police action. Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden, speaking as the head of PAS Youth, stated that Sathia distorted the original meaning of Sanusi’s comments. According to the Alor Setar MP, Sathia added the phrase “go back” into the narrative. Afnan argued that this addition fundamentally changed the statement to falsely suggest Sanusi wanted non-Malays expelled based on their race.

Police Action Threatened Over Alleged Sedition and Racial Incitement

The escalation moved beyond war-of-words rhetoric when Afnan stated that PAS Youth would officially file a police report against Sathia. The youth wing leader accused the Selangor PKR official of sedition and deliberately trying to inflame racial tensions for political gain.

“Having different political views is not a licence to defame others. Do not inflame racial sentiments for political interests,” Afnan said in a public statement.

Afnan has formally demanded that Sathia immediately withdraw his allegations and issue a public apology. Meanwhile, media outlets including FMT have reached out to Sathia for comment regarding the impending police report and the demands made by the PAS Youth chief.
